Eco Fair, SASHA, End-of-Year Party

On April 23rd, Veg Club participated in BGSU's annual Eco Fair in honor of Earth Week to educate people about the devastating environmental impacts of factory farming. It was a beautiful, fun day and we handed out lots of leaflets, stickers and vegan ice cream. In addition, we were approached by a gentleman who runs a local radio program about sustainability and wants us to be guests on his show, so look for that some time in the near future!

On the also beautiful April 26th, Veg Club and SAVE teamed up to volunteer at SASHA Farm Sanctuary and Save Haven for Animals in Michigan. We very thoroughly cleaned the horse pasture (read: shoveled poop), took a vegan lunch break, and visited some of our animal friends around the farm, taking lots of selfies with Helen the cow and several silly goats.

For our last event of the 2013-14 school year, Veg Club and SAVE got together the evening of May 3rd at an off-campus apartment for an end-of-the-year party. We might have had a little too much fun...

It has been a really wonderful year and we will miss those who are graduating. Thank you to everyone for your support and involvement; we can't wait to see everyone in the fall! Keep fighting for animals! :)
